of luminous matter is a digital art piece made of four still images of the internet. The images themselves (not their content, but the actual JPEG files) were shaped and animated using Pure Data. A video was rendered from PD, and effects processing was completed in MAX MSP. The music composition was also created in MAX MSP.

The music is a MIDI orchestration that was composed in MOTU’s Digital Performer, using an orchestral sample library of Native Instruments.
